Chris Walkley, Director at Metickulous
Chris Walkley is a qualified draughtsman with 30 years experience in the engineering industry. Initially completing a technical apprenticeship within a precision aerospace bearings company he then moved into the demanding automotive sector as a manufacturing systems engineer specialising with SPC. Chris is a driven individual and completed an Open University Post Graduate Diploma while working full-time and with a young family. Chris then spent 20 years at Aberlink in a variety of roles including calibration, applications and service management, plus technical sales. This involved global support, working with and supporting customers and distributors from diverse industries. Chris also was extensively involved in software development and innovation.
This provided an in depth knowledge of 3D measurement, CAD comparison, vision inspection and offline programming. Chris implemented techniques from his teacher training studies to maximise knowledge transfer. This was subsequently adopted as a standard approach by Aberlink’s team of engineers to provide comprehensive instruction to new users. Chris himself has trained hundreds of trainers, operators and agents worldwide. This experience places Chris in a unique position to offer customised expert metrology services.
